Your first visit and your care
Who performs my cleaning and exam?
Dr. Christianne Lee personally performs routine cleanings and exams at Irvine Dentistry. That gives you time with the same dentist to ask questions and discuss your oral health. Learn about cleanings and exams.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your visit starts with your health history and concerns, followed by any necessary X-rays, an exam, and a routine cleaning when clinically appropriate. You’ll also discuss findings and next steps. See what to expect at your first visit.
Will I have a cleaning at my first visit?
A routine cleaning is included when it is clinically appropriate. If your gums need a different type of care, Dr. Lee will explain the recommendation. Read more about your first appointment.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring a photo ID, dental insurance information if applicable, a current medication list, and any questions you want to discuss.
What if I haven’t been to the dentist in years?
No problem. An exam is a chance to understand your current oral health and discuss the next step. You do not need to know which treatment you need before you come in.
How long will my first visit take?
About an hour. A first visit after a long gap generally runs longer than a routine check-up.

Can I visit without dental insurance?
Yes. Contact the office to discuss self-pay costs for your visit. The New Patients page has the first-visit offer for uninsured patients.

Where is Irvine Dentistry, and is parking free?
Irvine Dentistry is at 5394 Walnut Ave, Suite E, Irvine, CA 92604, in Orange Tree Square next to Ranch 99. The shopping center has a large, free parking lot. See the map and directions.
