Meet Dr. Christianne Lee
A dental hygienist before she became a dentist — and still personally performing her patients' cleanings today.
Dr. Lee is a Southern California native who graduated from USC with a degree in Dental Hygiene, then went on to the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry for her doctorate. She has since taught as a clinical instructor at USC's School of Dentistry, helping train the next generation of dentists.
She is the sole dentist at Irvine Dentistry, which means the person who looks at your teeth this year is the person who will look at them next year.

From dental hygienist to dentist
Dr. Lee's first training was in preventive care. She earned her degree in dental hygiene at USC before deciding to go further and train as a dentist at the University of the Pacific.
Preventive care is where Dr. Lee's career began. Even after becoming a dentist, she continued performing her patients' cleanings herself. It’s a service she has always valued, and it gives her something that matters to her: more time directly with her patients.
Why I still do my patients' cleanings
“Preventive care is where I started. I trained as a dental hygienist before I became a dentist, and I've always enjoyed that part of caring for patients.”
“When I perform the cleaning myself, we have more time together. I can see how your teeth and gums are doing, answer questions as they come up, and follow changes from one visit to the next.”
“For me, that time is valuable. Dentistry is easier when you know your patients well and they feel comfortable asking you questions.”
My approach to dentistry
- Listening first. Most people come in with one specific thing on their mind. That's where the appointment should start.
- Explaining what I see. You should leave knowing what's going on in your mouth, in words that made sense at the time.
- Prevention over repair. Many dental problems are simpler and less expensive to deal with when they're caught early.
- Looking at the whole picture. The right recommendation depends on the person, the tooth, and the situation.
- The long view. Seeing the same people over years means decisions can be made at the right time rather than all at once.
What patients say about her
“Dr Lee will spend time with you & answer your questions. You'd never feel like you being rushed out because another patient is waiting.”
“Dr. Lee was happy to answer all my questions and walk me through her entire process.”
“I also really appreciate her willingness to educate me about my dental health and provide helpful advice. Dr. Lee and her team truly care about their patients and it shows!”
